The Sukhoi Su-29 is a Russian aerobatic and training aircraft with a metal-composite structure in the low wing structure, with a fixed undercarriage. The drive is provided by a single Vedeneev M14P engine with a capacity of 360 HP. The flight of the prototype took place in 1991, and shortly thereafter, mass production began, which - with breaks - continues to this day. The Su-29 was created as a development of another Sukhoi machine - the very successful Su-26, which in the years 2003-2005 dominated at international air shows. The basic change was to redesign the middle part of the fuselage and create a cabin that could take two crew members instead of one (as in the Su-26). Further changes also affected the hull, which was reinforced. The Su-29 was also made of 60% composite materials, which significantly strengthened the entire structure and only slightly increased the weight of the aircraft. Suchoj Su-29 machines, apart from Russia, were also purchased by aerobatic teams in Argentina and Austria.
