ORP 'MAZUR' 1935 (POLSKI OKRĘT SZKOLNY) (MODEL SET)

ORP Mazur was a German and later Polish torpedo boat and artillery ship from the interwar period and both world wars. The keel for this unit was laid in 1913, the launch took place in August 1914, and the entry into service took place in 1915. The length of the ship was 62.6 meters and a width of 6.2 meters. Full displacement reached approx. 420 tons, and maximum speed - approx. 28-29 knots. In 1939, we were armed with 3 75mm guns, 1 40mm anti-aircraft gun and 4 machine guns. ORP Mazur was originally called V-105 and was built for the Dutch Navy, but at the outbreak of World War I it was taken over by the German Kaiserliche Marine. In the course of this conflict, he took a limited part in combat operations and played primarily the role of a training unit. In November 1918, the unit went to Great Britain, from where the ship went to Poland. It entered the Polish Navy in 1922, where it served as a training artillery ship.
