Ключевые слова #Z-212
The Zlin 212 was a Czechoslovakian sports and communication plane with a low wing configuration, with a classic and fixed undercarriage from the interwar period and World War II. About 55-60 aircraft of this type were built in the course of production. The drive (from 1938) was provided by a single 4-cylinder Walter Mikron engine. The plane was 7.8 meters long with a wingspan of 10 meters. The top speed did not exceed 155 km / h. The Zlin 212 was developed at the Zlinska Letecka Spolećnost aviation plant (Zlin for short) as a development of the successful Zlin Z-XII aircraft. The main modification was to use an engine with more power and better reliability - instead of the ZLAS or Zlin Persy II engines, the Walter Mikron unit was deployed. Modified in this way, it turned out to be a very successful design, and its production was continued in the Zlin plant also under German occupation. It was also used by the Slovak aviation. As an interesting fact, one copy of Zlin 212 was seized by the Americans during World War II and later used for civilian purposes.
