KRAZ-255B SOVIET OFF-ROAD TRUCK

KrAZ-255 is a Ukrainian military truck. The first copies of this car appeared in the mid-1960s, and serial production was carried out in 1967-1994. The drive is provided by a single 8-cylinder engine JaMZ-238 with 240 hp. The KrAZ-255 was developed and is produced at the Ukrainian AvtoKraz plant as a development of the KrAZ-214 car. Compared to the original, several changes were made, including: the braking and pneumatic systems were improved and a more powerful engine was used. The KrAZ-255 was characterized by considerable pulling power, good load capacity and high mobility in even difficult terrain. On its basis, many specialized vehicles have been developed, such as a technical support vehicle. Cars of this type were used on a large scale in the Warsaw Pact countries (including Poland), but were also exported to many Third World countries.
