FIAT G8

The Fiat G.8 was an Italian multi-role and connecting biplane, fixed-undercarriage design. The drive was provided by a single engine Fiat A54 with 135 HP . The prototype flight took place in 1934. Serial production started shortly after, which led to the production of about 60 examples of the aircraft. The machine did not have a permanent armament. The Fiat G.8 aircraft, which was originally designed at the CMASA plant in Pisa. However, after their takeover by Fiat in 1930, the plane changed its designation and work on it continued. Finally, a machine was created with a conservative design and technical solutions, but also with a simple design, easy to use and operate, ensuring good flight safety. From its entry into service in the mid-1930s, the Fiat G.8 was used by the Italian Air Force (Regio Aeronautica) for liaison and training tasks. Copies that survived World War II served in the Italian aviation until 1950.
