LUBLIN R X

Lublin RX was a Polish liaison and accompanying aircraft (in cooperation with the army) of a mixed structure, high-wing configuration, with a fixed landing gear. The drive was provided by a single engine Wright Whirlwind J5B with a power of 220 hp. The flight of the prototype took place in 1929 - in the same year serial production began, which led to the creation of 7 machines. The armament was one 7.7 mm machine gun. Lublin RX was created as a private initiative of Zakłady Mechaniczne Plage and Laśkiewicz, which decided to develop a new accompanying aircraft that meets all the requirements set for such a machine by the guidelines of the Polish armed forces. Relatively quickly, a successful machine with a short run and roll-out was created, capable of taking off from field airfields, with good flight characteristics and good maneuverability. From 1929, machines began to go to linear units. Shortly thereafter - by 1935 - all copies were withdrawn.
