The Ansaldo SVA-5 is an Italian reconnaissance biplane, light bomber and mixed-landing gear fighter from the First World War. The drive was provided by a liquid-cooled SPA-6A in-line engine with a capacity of 220 HP. The plane's flight took place in March 1917, and the first planes hit the front in February 1918. Serial production continued in the same years (1917-1918), ending with the production of 1,245 aircraft. SVA-5 served on the Italian-Austrian front, fulfilling numerous roles, but most of all they performed hunting and reconnaissance tasks.
