The Henschel Hs123 is a German early WWII single-engine biplane and dive bomber. The flight of the prototype took place on May 8, 1935, and from 1936 the plane entered the line service. Despite the backwardness of the structure at the outbreak of the war, it was used until 1944. The plane performed very well during the Spanish Civil War (1936-1939), where it served as a classic stormtrooper. However, the development of the design was stopped due to the entry into mass production of the Ju-87 Stuka. Hs123 also fought during the Polish campaign and in the West in 1940. It was also used on a small scale on the Eastern Front, where the last serial copies were destroyed, out of 255 produced. A 9-cylinder BMW 132 Dc star engine with 880HP was used as the drive. Technical data: length: 8.33 m, wingspan: 10.5 m, height: 3.2 m, maximum speed: 341 km / h, maximum range: 860 km, maximum ceiling 9000 m, armament: 2 MG17 cal.7 machine guns, 92mm, suspended - up to 450kg bombs.
