The Let L-410 Turbolet is a Czechoslovak (now Czech) passenger and transport plane in the high-wing configuration, with a semi-shell structure, with a landing gear retracted in flight from the post-war period. The aircraft was flown in April 1969, and serial production started in 1971 and is still ongoing. Approximately 1,200 copies of this aircraft were produced (as of 2106). The drive - in the L 410 UVP version - is provided by two General Electric H80-200 engines with a capacity of 800 HP each. It is estimated that the unit cost of the L-410UVP version is $ 6.3 million. 2016 prices. The Let L-410 was developed to replace the An-2 and An-14 aircraft, and work on the new machine began in the mid-1960s. Ultimately, the L 410 turned out to be a very successful design, characterized by the possibility of a short take off and landing (STOL), relatively low operating costs, the ability to operate in extreme temperatures and various climatic conditions, and above all - an aircraft with great susceptibility to modernization. In the course of long serial production, many development versions of this aircraft were created, including: L-410A (the first mass-produced model powered by Pratt and Whitney engines), L-410 M (version with Walter M601A engines), L-410FG (photogrammetric version ) or the L-410 UVP (a deeply modernized model with different engines, improved aerodynamics and STOL capability). L-410 aircraft were widely exported to many countries of the world.
