The Caproni Ca.114 was an Italian fighter aircraft used by Peru in a mixed biplane configuration with a fixed undercarriage. The drive was provided by a single engine Bristol Mercury IV with 530 hp. The prototype's flight took place in 1933. Serial production continued in 1935-1936, ending with the production of 36 machines of this type. The armament was two 7.7 mm machine guns. The Caproni Ca.114 was initially designed for the Italian Air Force (owned by Regia Aeronautica) as a new entry-level fighter aircraft. Its design was based largely on another Caproni aircraft - the Ca.113 aerobatic machine. Despite very good performance and good piloting properties, the Ca.114 lost the competition with the FIAT CR.32 fighter. Therefore, it was decided to try to sell the aircraft to export customers. The only country interested in the purchase was Peru, which purchased 36 aircraft between 1935 and 1936. In Peruvian aviation, Ca.114 served until 1945, initially as a fighter, and later only as a training machine.
