Elliotts Primary Eon (other indications: SG38 Primary or Eton TX.1 ) was a British training glider from the post-war period. The prototype flight took place in February 1948. Production started shortly after and resulted in the creation of about 80 gliders of this type. The length of this aircraft was 6.24 meters with a wingspan of 10.36 meters. The weight of the empty sailplane was 114 kilograms. The Elliotts Primary Eon was developed very shortly after the end of World War II and was offered to the civilian market as a simple-to-design and easy-to-pilot glider for basic training. It was characterized by a completely open pilot's cabin and a primarily wooden structure. In essence, it was a copy of the German SG-38 Schulgleiter glider. The glider gained some popularity in British flying clubs, it was also adapted for service in the Air Training Corps and Combined Cadet Force.
