The Nardi FN.315 was an Italian light training and training aircraft that made its maiden flight in 1938. About 30 machines of this type were built in the course of serial production. The basic version of the plane was 6.98 meters long with a wingspan of 8.47 meters. The drive was provided by a single Alfa Romeo 115-1 engine with a power of up to 205 HP. The maximum speed was around 315 km / h, with a flight range of 620 kilometers. The machine did not have on-board weapons. The Nardi FN.315 was developed at the Fratelli Nardi aviation plant as a development of the FN.305 model from the same manufacturer. It differed from it in the modified design of the rear part of the fuselage and improvements in the cockpit and wings. However, it still retained the low-wing layout, with a classic chassis and a tandem cabin. Several engines were tested in flight tests, most notably the Argus AS.10E, Hirth HM.508 and the Alfa Romeo 115-1. Finally, it was decided to install the latter drive unit. The main recipient of the Nardi FN.315 aircraft was the Italian and Swiss Air Force, as a machine dedicated to basic and intermediate training.
