The Church Midwing JC-1 was an American sports plane from the interwar period, in a spine-wing configuration, with an open cockpit and a fixed landing gear. The drive - in the basic version - was provided by a single Heath Henderson B-4 engine with a capacity of 27 HP. The prototype flight took place in 1928. The JC-1 was designed by James Church, who in its design relied on many elements and subassemblies of the Heath Parasol machine, especially the fuselage of this aircraft. The JC-1 was designed in such a way that it could be assembled at home using the simplest DIY tools. In the 1930s, the price of one plane was $ 190. From 1931, a new 38 HP engine was used in this type of aircraft. There was also a version of the Church Midwing Racer that was powered by the 46hp Church Marathon engine.
