VICKERS VINCENT MK. I

The Vickers Vincent was a British light bomber with a metal structure covered with linen from the interwar period and World War II. The drive was provided by a single engine Bristol Pegasus IIM3 with a power of 635 hp. The prototype's flight took place in 1933. Approximately 200 examples of this aircraft were produced in the course of serial production. They were armed with two 7.7 mm machine guns and up to 454 kg of bombs. Vickers Vincent was created as a development of another Vickers aircraft called Wildbeest. The changes consisted mainly in increasing the capacity of the fuel tank and the removal of the torpedo carrying equipment. Introduced to the line at the end of 1934, the Vickers Vincent planes replaced the Westland Wapiti and Fairey III F planes in the squadrons in the Middle and Far East. in the course of operations in Iraq in 1941.
