01420 ANTONOV AN-72P JET TRANSPORT AIRCRAFT

The Antonov AN-72 is a twin-engine, high-wing, short take-off and landing transport aircraft. The prototype flight took place in 1977. Serial production lasted from 1980 to 1993 and led to the creation of 200 aircraft of this type. In the AN-72, the exhaust gas streams from the highly built-up engines were directed after the titanium covering of the wings onto the slotted flaps, which resulted in an increase in the lift force. Serial copies in relation to the prototype have increased dimensions and range. The development version of the An-72 is the An-74 aircraft. The AN-72P is a machine designed for patrolling sea areas. The An-72 has a metal structure, with engines mounted in front of the wings, a three-support landing gear retracted in flight, a loading ramp at the back of the cabin. Rear hull lifted, cargo hold 9 m long, 2.10 m wide, 2.20 m high, internal crane with a capacity of 2400 kg. The plane takes 39 people and a load of 5,000 kg in the communication version, in the transport version - a load of up to 10,000 kg, in the sanitary version - 24 wounded on a stretcher. It is equipped with D-36 jet engines with a thrust of 6406 daN (6530 kG) each. Technical data: Top speed: 700 km / h; maximum range: 4,325 km, take-off weight: 34,500 kg, the plane is unarmed.
