The Miles M.3 Falcon was a British light multi-role airliner that made its first flight in 1934. About 35-40 machines of this type were built in the course of serial production. The aircraft, in the M.3A version, was 7.62 meters long with a wingspan of 10.67 meters. The drive was provided by a single de Havilland Gipsy Major engine with a power of up to 130 HP. The maximum speed was around 235 km / h, with a flight range of 990 kilometers. The machine did not have on-board weapons. The M.3 Falcon aircraft was developed and produced by Miles Aircraft Limited as an evolutionary development of the M.2F Hawk Major by the same manufacturer. Compared to the previous design, the Miles M.3 Falcon was distinguished primarily by significant changes to the cabin, which was redesigned in such a way that 2 crew members or passengers were seated next to each other, behind the pilot. In subsequent production versions, the strength of the entire structure was significantly increased, which led to a slight increase in the weight of the empty plane. Several versions of this machine were created in the course of production, including: M.3A (basic version), M.3B (training version, powered by de Havilland Gipsy Six engine with a capacity of 200 HP) or M.3C (4-seat version with same drive unit as M.3B). The plane was seen as a successful aviation structure and was operated primarily in Australia and Great Britain.
