The Hawker Hart was a British light bomber in a mixed biplane design with a fixed undercarriage from the interwar period and World War II. The drive was usually provided by a single motor Rolls-Royce Kestrel IB with a power of 525 HP, respectively. The prototype flew in 1928, and serial production continued in 1929-1936. It was armed with one 7.7 mm Vickers or Lewis machine gun and up to 236 kg of bombs. Hawker Hart was created in response to the 1926 RAF specification for a new light bomber with a speed of min. 260 km / h. The mass-produced Hawker Hart planes turned out to be successful machines, with good maneuverability and performance, and with little failure. The Hawker Audax and Hawker Demon machines were also based on this aircraft. However, due to the introduction of monoplane planes to the line in the 1930s, the life of Hawker Hart machines in the RAF turned out to be relatively short. They were withdrawn from the line in 1937-1939 and did not take an active part in World War II. The British kept them in reserve and used them on a limited scale in Egypt and India. A marginal number of these planes fought in the Finnish Air Force during the Winter War (1939-1940).
