The Fiat G.5 was an Italian low-wing aerobatic plane with a fixed undercarriage. The drive in the basic version was provided by a single engine Fiat A.70 with 135 HP . The prototype's flight took place in 1933. The machine did not have a permanent armament. Fiat G.5 was created as a classic, light aerobatic machine with the highest maneuverability, good flight and piloting properties. The plane has also been refined in terms of aerodynamics. Despite the fact that the production of this type of aircraft was very small, as many as three of its versions were made. The first was marked as Fiat G.5 - this is the first production series. Shortly thereafter, the experimental version with the Fiat A.60 engine with 140 HP appeared - it was designated as Fiat G.5 / 2. Finally, the last and most produced model was the Fiat G.5 bis, which was still powered by the Fiat A.70 engine (like the basic version), but it was already a modernized engine with a greater maximum power, reaching 200 HP. The few planes that survived the war later served in civilian flying clubs until 1955.
