The Baker-McMillan Cadet II was an American sports glider from the interwar period. The aircraft was constructed in the high wing configuration and had an open cockpit. It was 5.71 meters long with a wingspan of 11.45 meters. The empty weight of the sailplane did not exceed 104 kilograms. The Cadet II model was developed by a German immigrant who came to the USA in 1928 - Franz Gross, and shortly after he started working with the Baker-McMillan Company. The flight of the new sailplane took place in 1929, and its short production probably lasted in the years 1929-1930 or 1931. The aircraft was sold almost exclusively on the American market and it is often assumed that it will greatly contribute to the development of gliding in the United States. Production was discontinued as a result of the Great Depression of 1929, which very clearly limited the sales market.
