The Aichi Type 15 (another designation: Aichi Mi-Go) was a Japanese prototype monoplane seaplane from the interwar period. The drive was provided by a single engine Mitsubishi Type Hi with a power of 300 hp. The machine never entered mass production. The deck armament consisted of a single 7.7 mm machine gun. The Aichi Type 15 was created in connection with the competition in 1924 announced by the command of the Japanese Navy for a new reconnaissance seaplane to replace the Hansa-Brandenburg W.33 aircraft, which were taken over from Germany as reparations after World War I. The Aichi aviation company, in preparation for this competition, decided to significantly modernize the Hansa W.33 aircraft by developing completely new wings, changing the float landing gear and reducing the weight of the entire structure. However, the new machine only had a slightly better performance than the Hansa W.33, and what was worse - it had a smaller operating radius. These defects prevented the Aichi Type 15 from entering serial production.
