The Kellet YO-60 was an American autogyro from the interwar period. The length of the machine fuselage was approx. 8.8 m, and the main rotor diameter - approx. 12.2 m. The drive was provided by a single Jacobs R-915-3 engine with 300 hp. The maximum speed reached approx. 210 km / h. The Kellet YO-60 was created as an evolutionary development of the Kellet XO-60 gyroplane, and the main difference between the two designs was the use of different propulsion units with different maximum power. The YO-60 Kellet was developed for the needs of the United States Air Force as a light reconnaissance and communication machine with a shortened take-off and landing distance. In fact, it was one of the development versions of the Kellet KD-1 autogyro - the first gyroplane used by the US Air Force. In total, only 6 examples of this machine were built.
