FLEET 10G

The Fleet 10G was an American training and training aircraft in the classic fixed landing gear biplane layout from the interwar period. The length of the machine was 6.6 meters with a wingspan of 8.53 meters. The maximum speed was 185 km / h. The drive was provided by a single de Havilland Gipsy Major engine with 160 HP. Fleet 10G was constructed at the Fleet aviation company, which is a de facto subsidiary of Consolidated. The machine was developed on the basis of the Fleet 7 aircraft intended solely for export markets. The machine was simple in design, with relatively low purchase and operating costs, and was generally quite a successful initial training machine. It has been exported to Canada and Portugal. Romania, on the other hand, not only acquired ready-made aircraft, but also purchased the right to license production at IAR, ICAR and SET plants. During World War II, Romanian Fleet 10G planes were used by the armed forces of this country as liaison and training machines.
