Ключевые слова #K6K1
The Kawanishi K6K1 was a Japanese prototype mixed biplane seaplane from the interwar period. The drive was provided by a single Nakajima engine Kotobuki 2 Kai 1 with power up to 580 HP. The machine never entered mass production. Kawanishi K6K1 was created in connection with the competition in 1937 announced by the command of the Japanese Navy for a new training seaplane, which would replace the Yokosuka K5Y and Kawanishi E7K planes. The Kawanishi Manufacturing Plant, having relatively extensive experience in the production of seaplanes, developed a new machine within a dozen or so months and delivered it for testing to the Navy in 1938. Tests lasted until 1940, but ended completely unsuccessfully for the new aircraft. In their course, it turned out that the Kawanishi K6K1 has numerous design flaws and requires a long process of improvement, for which the Navy did not have time. This led to the cancellation of the project. Only three prototypes of this seaplane were built.
