The Yokosho Type 10 was a Japanese prototype reconnaissance seaplane in a biplane arrangement with a fixed float landing gear from the interwar period. A prototype flight took place in 1923, but the machine never entered production. The drive was provided by a single 400 HP Lorraine engine. In the so-called model A, the length of the aircraft was 12.2 meters with a wingspan of 16.82 meters. The deck armament consisted of a single 7.7 mm machine gun The Yokosho Type 10 was commissioned by the Japanese naval command, which at the beginning of the 1920s sought to obtain the successor to the Ro-go Ko-gata aircraft. Design work on the new plane started in 1921, and two years later the prototype flight test took place. However, the first two prototypes were far from the requirements of the Japanese Navy. For this reason, in 1924 and 1925, two improved examples, known as the so-called Model A and Model B. The first one did not differ from the 1923 prototypes, but the second one (model B) turned out to be perspective and became a kind of basis for the development of the Yokosho E1Y1 seaplane. It is estimated that several Yokosho Type 10 aircraft were manufactured.
