GULFSTREAM G-550 SHAVIT

The Gulfstream G550 is a modern American low-wing communication and business aircraft. The prototype flight took place in 2001. On the other hand, serial production started in 2003 and is still going on. The drive is provided by two turbofan engines Rolls-Royce BR710 C4-11 with 68.44 kN each. The length of the aircraft is 29.4 meters with a wingspan of 28.5 meters. The Gulfstream G550 was developed as a far-reaching development of the Gulfstream V machine. The machine was slightly enlarged compared to its predecessor, but received completely new engines (although they are still manufactured by Rolls-Royce), which positively influenced the maximum range of the aircraft, as well as fuel consumption. The take-off and landing properties of the machine were also improved, and the passenger compartment was redesigned. In the course of production so far, several versions of this aircraft have been created, including: G500 (a machine with reduced fuel consumption) or C-37B (military designation for the G550 aircraft dedicated to the transport of high-ranking officers). It is worth adding that the main competitors for the Gulfstream G550 on the civil market are such planes as the Bombardier Global 6000 or Dassault Falcon 7X.
