The Mraz M.1 Sokol was a light Czechoslovak communication and multipurpose aircraft from the post-war period in a low wing configuration with a classic retractable landing gear. The flight of the prototype took place in 1946, and series production started shortly after. In the M.1 D version, the drive was provided by a single Walter Minor 4-III engine with 105 HP. The length of the machine was 7.35 meters with a wingspan of 10 meters. The Mraz M.1 Sokol plane was designed by Zdenek Rublićek during the German occupation of Czechoslovakia during World War II. The starting point for the new machine was an airplane Benes-Mraz Bibi from the second half of the 1930s. In order to reduce production costs, the new machine was largely made of wood. Several versions were created in the course of production Mraz M.1 Sokol, including: M.1 A (basic prototype version, two-seater), M.1 C (first production version with a three-seater cabin) or M.1 D (version with a modernized cabin and its extended glazing) . The Mraz M.1 Sokol plane was used in Czechoslovakia, and its only foreign recipient was Egypt.
