The Doflug D-3802 was a Swiss fighter plane from the end of World War II. The drive was provided by a single engine Saurer YS-2 with 1250 hp. The flight of the prototype took place in September 1944, and the production of this type of aircraft probably continued in the years 1945-1946. In total, only 11 examples of this aircraft were built. The on-board armament consisted of three 20mm cannons or one 20mm cannon and four machine guns. The Doflug D-3802 was created as a successor to the D-3801 aircraft, and in turn was largely based on the design solutions used in the French Morane-Saulnier MS450 and MS406 aircraft. The general concept of the airframe, the outline of the fuselage and wings was similar. A full metal construction was also used. The main change was the use of a much more powerful engine in the Doflug D-3802. A modernized version was also developed, designated as D-3803. However, none of the versions entered mass production, as Switzerland finally decided to purchase the North American P-51 Mustang as the primary fighter of its air force. Doflug D-3802 planes served in the Swiss aviation until 1956.
