The Caproni CA-311 is an Italian light transport and bomber plane from the Second World War with a metal structure. The drive was made of two Piaggio P VII C.35 radial engines with a power of 470HP. The plane was distinguished by great visibility from the highly glazed nose part, which also led to the use of the CA-311 as a reconnaissance aircraft. The flight of the prototype took place in 1939, and the machine entered service in North Africa in 1940. It quickly "showed" high unreliability and definitely too low engine power. Despite its weakness, it was used in combat in North Africa, the Balkans and the USSR. At the end of the war, it was systematically transferred to training units. Only 335 CA-311s were built. Technical data: Maximum speed: 347 km / h, maximum ceiling 7,400 m, maximum range: 1,700 km, armament: fixed - 3 machine guns caliber 7.7 mm suspended - up to 400 kg of bombs.
