The Marinens Flyvebaatfabrikk MF11 (another designation: Hover MF11) was a Norwegian reconnaissance seaplane in a mixed biplane design with a fixed float landing gear from the interwar period. The drive was provided by a single engine Armstrong Siddeley Panther with a maximum power of 575 HP. The plane's flight took place in 1931. Serial production started shortly after, which led to the production of about 30 machines of this type. The deck armament usually consisted of three 7.7 mm machine guns. The MF11 was built as a successor to the Hans-Brandenburg W.33 seaplane, which was still in service in the Norwegian Air Force at the end of the 1920s. The new aircraft featured a very durable structure, high reliability, relatively high flight endurance, and was generally considered very successful. He was also liked by pilots because of the ease of piloting. Aircraft of this type took part in the fight against the German attack in April-June 1940. Some of these planes made it to Finland and Great Britain after the ceasefire, but some (about 15-17 planes) were captured by the Germans, who used them for patrol duty in Norwegian waters.
