The Fokker CV was a Dutch light bomber and reconnaissance aircraft that was introduced to the line in 1924. The length of the machine in the basic version was 9.25 m, with a wingspan of 12.5 m and a maximum take-off weight of approx. 2,145 kg. The drive was provided by a single Rolls-Royce Kestrel VIIb engine with 630 HP. The maximum speed was up to 250 km / h. The deck armament consisted of three 7.9 mm FN and Lewis machine guns. The plane could also carry up to 200 kg of bombs. The Fokker CV was developed by Anton Fokker with export markets in mind. The plant offered the possibility of installing various engines with a power from 450 to 970 HP, as well as a different wingspan and the possibility of installing a float chassis. As the aircraft was generally a successful design that could be adapted to many tasks on the battlefield, it quickly turned out to be quite a success and was exported to many countries. There were also many versions of it. The latter include, for example: C.VA (reconnaissance version), C.VC (attack aircraft) or C.VD (multi-role aircraft). The machine was also licensed in Italy under the designation Romeo Ro.1, and later also Ro.1-bis. The plane was used in military aviation, among others: Denmark, Finland, Sweden, Italy and Hungary.
