The PZL M28 Skytruck or Bryza is a contemporary, Polish, light passenger, transport and sea patrol aircraft in the high wing configuration. The drive is provided by two Pratt and Whitney Canada PT-6A-65B turboprop engines. The prototype flight took place in July 1993. Serial production started in the same year. Over 200 examples of this aircraft of all versions were created in its course. The M28 was developed at the PZL-Mielec plant as a modernization of the Antonow An-28 aircraft. The changes mainly concerned the use of a completely different power unit, strengthening the wings and fuselage, slight changes to the front of the fuselage and replacement of avionics. These changes ultimately led to the creation of a successful machine, which has a relatively low failure rate, can carry up to 18 passengers and a good range for this class of machines. Several versions of this aircraft were produced in the course of production, for example: PZL M28 Skytruck (transport version), M28B TD (transport-passenger version) or M28 Bryza 1R (sea patrol and rescue aircraft). Aircraft of this type are or have been used by: Poland, Indonesia, Jordan, Estonia, Germany and Venezuela.
