The Caproni Ca.113 was an Italian basic training aircraft in the biplane, fixed landing gear configuration. The drive was provided by a single engine Piaggio Stella VII C. with 370 hp. The prototype flight took place in 1931. The plane did not have permanent weapons. The Ca.113 was developed by the Caproni Aeronautica company as a successor to another aircraft from this company - the Ca.100. It differed from its predecessor by using a much more powerful engine, reinforced fuselage structure and such aerodynamic properties that allowed it to perform a full range of aerial acrobatics. The Caproni Ca.113 turned out to be a very successful machine, and the pilots flying it set many world records for this class of aircraft. An example is the altitude record (12,010 meters) established by the Italian pilot Carine Negrone in 1935. The Ca.113 planes were also licensed in Bulgaria and entered the service of the local air force.
