The Mitsubishi Ki-1 was a Japanese training and training aircraft in the classic fixed landing gear biplane layout from the interwar period. The flight of the prototype took place in 1924, and serial production continued in the years 1925-1927. About 145 aircraft of this type were built in its course. The drive was provided by a single Le Rhone engine with a power of up to 100 HP. The machine did not have a permanent on-board armament. The maximum speed was up to 115 km / h. Mitsubishi Ki-1 was a license version of the French Hanriot HD-14 training machine, which in turn was flown in 1920 and quickly became the basic machine of this type in French aviation. Due to the high overall rating of the aircraft, as early as 1923, the license production rights were bought by Mitsubishi plants. It is worth adding that the Mitsubishi Ki-1 differed from the original Hanriot HD-14 only in minor constructional details. It was also characterized by very good flight properties and stability in flight. It also quickly became the primary Japanese aviation training plane.
