The Avro 560 was a British ultralight sports plane from the interwar period. The drive was provided by a single Blackburn Tomtit engine with a power of 20 HP. The flight of the prototype took place in 1923 - only one copy of this aircraft was built. The Avro 560 was built at AV Roe and Company Limited as a sports aircraft that would win the prestigious Lympne Aerodrome in 1923. With an emphasis on the lowest possible weight of the aircraft, its large-scale construction uses wood, plywood and canvas, minimizing the use of metal elements. As a result, the curb weight of the Avro 560 was only 129 kilograms! Moreover, the new plane turned out to be a successful machine, with good performance and good handling qualities. Initial interest in its acquisition was expressed by the British Air Force, but eventually withdrew from talks about its purchase and possible serial production.
