The Cessna YH-41 (another designation: CH-1) is an American light helicopter from the post-war period. The flight of the prototype took place in 1953, and serial production was carried out in the years 1956-1962. About 50 machines of this type were built in its course. The total length of the helicopter - in the CH-1C version - was 12.95 meters, with a height of 2.51 meters. The drive was provided by a single Continental FSO-526-A engine with 270 HP. The CH-1 / YH-41 helicopter was so far the only aircraft of its kind built by the Cessna Aircraft Company. Its design was largely based on the Seibel S-4, which was flew in 1949. It is worth adding that the Seibel label was taken over by Cessna in 1952. Several variants of this helicopter were created in the course of production. including: CH-1A (version for four passengers), CH-1B (pre-serial series for the US Armed Forces), YH-41 (military designation for the CH-1B helicopter) or CH-4 (version with the Allison mod .250 dedicated to the US Army). CH-1 helicopters were used outside the United States in Iran and Ecuador.
