The Nissan Laurel is a Japanese upper-middle class passenger car that was first presented to the public in 1968. Its serial production started in the same year and lasted until 2002! It was replaced by the Teana model in the range of Nissan Motor Company. Initially, the Laurel model was manufactured by the Prince Motor Company, and its production did not stop after it was taken over by Nissan. In the offer of the latter company it was offered as a reduced version of the luxury President limousine. Initially, the Nissan Laurel was produced only as a 2-door coupe and a 4-door sedan, but over time the offer was expanded to include 2-door and 4-door hardtop variants. The last of these body types turned out to be the most successful and was kept in production until the end of series production. The last, VIII generation of the Laurel model (designation: C35) was launched in 1997 and was manufactured at the plants in Musashimurayama in Japan and in Miaoli in Taiwan. It was offered only as a 4-door hardtop, and the engine range included units ranging from 2 to 2.8 liters.
