The Chevrolet Nova (another name: Chevrolet Chevy II Nova) is an American middle-class passenger car produced by General Motors, which was first presented to the public in 1962. Its serial production started in the same year and continued until 1979. It took place in several places in the United States, including Norwood, Willow Run and Saint Louis. The Nova model was designed and implemented for production in order to expand the company's commercial offer and to establish a fight on the American market with the Ford Falcon car. In order to shorten the research and development work as much as possible, the Nova model uses a lot of elements and components known from other cars of this brand, as well as proven and well-known technical solutions. The car was built based on the X-body platform, which was also used in other cars of the GM concern. During the production process, the Chevrolet Nova was offered in several body versions, including: 2-door and 4-door sedan, 2-door hardtop or 4-door station wagon. The company's offer was replaced by the Citation model.
