BMW 2002 is a German passenger car that belonged to a series of cars called BMW Neue Klasse. For the first time, copies of this series were presented to the general public in 1962. Their serial production took place in the years 1962-1977. The BMW 2002 was powered by - depending on the version - four gasoline engines from the M10 family with a displacement of 1.9 liters. The cars of the BMW Neue Klasse series were developed as highly unified sedans and coupes, which were to allow BMW to increase its share in these segments of the automotive market. Overall, they turned out to be successful vehicles. One of the cars belonging to this series was the BMW 2002, i.e. a 2-door sedan, which was initially available with 100 and 130 HP engines (2002 tii model). There was also a sports version with changed suspension and improved engine, marked as 2002ti. The most expensive version was the BMW 2002 Turbo, which was the first serial turbo-charged car on the European market.
