The Citroen H Van (another designation: Citroen HY) is a French commercial vehicle that was first presented to the public in 1947. Its serial production started in the same year and lasted until 1981 - about 470,000 copies of this car were produced during it. Production took place in Paris and in Vigo, Spain. Citroen H Van was designed and implemented into production as a completely new model in the company's offer, having no direct predecessor. The company successfully responded to the French market's demand for a new and light commercial vehicle. The car was characterized by poor basic equipment and a very simple structure, which it made up for with more than high durability, low failure rate and reasonable purchase and operating costs. Throughout its production, it was powered by one of five engines: two gasoline and three diesel engines, which generated power from 42 HP to 58 HP. The car was replaced in Citroen's offer by the C25 model.
