'66 PONTIAC GTO

Pontiac GTO is an American sports car, classified as the so-called A muscle car that was produced in the years 1964-1974 and 2004-2006. The car was manufactured in the United States in places such as Fremont, Baltimore and Kansas City. 8-cylinder engines with a capacity of up to 6 liters were used as power units. Pontiac GTO was created in order to expand the brand's commercial offer, controlled by the General Motors concern. From today's point of view, the new car is considered by many to be one of the first real crash muscle cars on the American automotive market. Already the first generation of the car (produced in 1964-1967) was powered by a powerful power unit with a power of up to 348 HP and was characterized by great performance. However, the car was not free from errors - criticized especially for weak brakes or a hard-working steering system. These problems were partially resolved in the 2nd and 3rd generation cars. It is worth adding that the General Motors concern returned to the GTO name in 2004, describing one of its models offered on the Australian market and produced by the Holden brand.
