TOYOTA FJ CRUISER (TWO-TONE BLACK)

The Toyota FJ Cruiser is a Japanese mid-size SUV (SUV) that was unveiled to the public in 2005 at the North American International Motor Show in Detroit. The production of the model was carried out in the period 2006-2016. The production of this model was concentrated at the plant in Hamura in the Tokyo metropolitan area of Japan. It is worth adding that these plants are formally owned by Hino Motors. In the original version, the length of the car was 467.1 cm, with a width of 189.5 cm (later this value increased by 10 cm) and a wheelbase of 269 cm. The curb weight reached 1,837 kilograms. It is often assumed that the idea of creating the FJ Cruiser was born in the mid-1990s, but for several years it was treated rather secondarily. The work on the model was significantly accelerated in 2001, and the idea of creating a new car was strongly supported by Akio Toyoda - the then and current president of Toyota Motor Corporation. It is worth noting that the study designs of the car were presented in 2003 and were characterized by a very bold style. Interestingly, this element was largely preserved in the mass-produced version, thanks to the fact that it was very well received by the automotive press and potential customers. The manufacturer offered the FJ Cruiser models as the basic power unit, a 6-cylinder engine with a capacity of 4 liters and 243 HP. The car was offered primarily on the North American market.
