NC11 TYPE 92 7.7MM MACHINE GUN (LEWIS GUN)

Rifle wz. 92 was a Japanese 7.7 mm heavy machine gun (heavy machine gun) from the interwar period and World War II. This type of weapon was produced in the years 1932-1941. About 45,000 copies of this rifle were produced in its course. The theoretical rate of fire was up to 400-450 rounds / min, and the effective range of fire did not exceed 800 meters. The wz.92 rifle was developed to complement the Type 3 Taisho heavy machine gun line, but also as a new heavy machine gun of the Imperial Japanese Army, which at the beginning of the 1930s wanted to introduce a new cartridge with a caliber of 7.7 mm, modeled on the bullet British same diameter. In 1939, the rifle was modernized with a redesigned 7.7 mm cartridge, a different trigger mechanism and a different weapon holder. The rifle modified in this way was designated wz.99. The main problem of the wz.92 rifle was the supply of ammunition from the magazine, not the cartridge belt, which drastically reduced the practical rate of fire on the battlefield. The weapon of this type was widely used by the Japanese army during the war in China (1937-1945) and during the war in the Pacific (1941-1945).
