Parisien TN6 C2 is a French city bus from the interwar period, World War II and post-war years. The vehicle was 9.5 meters long and 2.95 meters wide. The wheelbase was 5.05 meters. The maximum weight was around 10,300 kilograms. The drive was provided by a single, 6-cylinder petrol or diesel engine with a power of 67 or 94 HP. The TN series buses were introduced to the city and suburban transport of the Paris agglomeration in the 1930s. Vehicles of this type were to enable relatively easy and cheap movement around the agglomeration, and could carry up to 50 passengers. The TN4A model was used on urban routes, while the TN6 model on fairly long suburban routes. Buses of this series - especially TN6 - were characterized by a very Solina construction and considerable maneuverability for vehicles of this class. Interestingly, during the German occupation of Paris in 1940-1944, buses of this type were powered by special coal-fired generators. Of course, this had a negative impact on driving dynamics, but it had a very positive effect on the economy of operation. The last bus of the TN series was withdrawn in 1969!
