The Hino Ranger (or: Hino 500 Series) is a Japanese truck that was first presented to the public in 1964. Serial production started in the same year and is still going on. Currently, the production is mainly the responsibility of Hino Motors Limited, based in Tokyo. The Hino Ranger made its debut on the domestic automotive market in 1964 as a truck for transporting goods of medium weight and dimensions. The vehicle found demand on the market and turned out to be a considerable commercial success for its manufacturer. Since its debut, a total of six generations of the Hino Ranger car were created, which debuted in the years: 1964, 1969, 1980, 1989, 2001 and 2015. The latest generation of Hino Ranger trucks is characterized, in relation to the previous generation, with, among other things, minor stylistic changes, an improved chassis and suspension. The cars are powered by 4- and 6-cylinder engines with a capacity of 5.1 to 8.8 liters.
