BM7259 „MAD HET” POST-APOCALYPTIC TRUCK

The Oshkosh M1070 is an American military heavy truck tractor, which is dedicated primarily to transporting tanks. Production of the vehicle started in 1992 and is still ongoing. The truck is powered by a single Detroit-Diesel or Catterpilar diesel engine with 500 or 700 hp. The tractor is 9.09 meters long and 2.59 meters wide. The top speed is between 72 and 81 km / h. The Oshkosh M1070 was developed for the needs of the US armed forces, which in the late 1980s sought to obtain a new wheeled carrier for the M1 Abrams MBTs. The basic version of the vehicle is the M1070A0 model, which in total was delivered to the US Army in approximately 2,500 units. The first order for the modernized version (M1070A1) began in 2011. A version of the M1070F, which is currently used by the British Army, was also created. In 2008, the Global HET version was also launched, which is primarily targeted at export markets. The Oshkosh M1070 vehicles were used during operations in Afghanistan after 2001 and during the 2003 Iraq war.
