Tatra 57 is a Czechoslovak passenger car from the interwar period and World War II. The first versions of this car were made in 1931, and serial production continued in 1932-1939. The drive was provided in version 57 - a single engine with a capacity of 1.2 liters and 18 HP. Tatra 57 was created as a compact car as simple as possible in construction and cheap in production and operation. It used a two-door sedan body, although there were also coupe and convertible versions. Two main development versions were created in the course of production. The first one (marked as Tatra 57 A) was powered by a different engine with a slightly higher power and had a changed shape of the radiator cover. The second version is the Tatra 57 B, which entered production in 1938 and was powered by a 25 HP engine. At the time of the occupation of Czechoslovakia by Germany and the outbreak of World War II, many cars of this type were confiscated by the Wehrmacht and served as staff cars. In 1941, a specially designed version was created (Tatra 57 K), which was a two-door convertible version with a 23 HP engine.
