Schneider AMC P16 (other designation: AMC Citroen-Kegresse Models 1929 ) was a French half-track vehicle from the interwar period and World War II. The first prototypes of the car were built in 1924, but serial production took place in 1928-1931. About 100 vehicles of this type were built in its course. The vehicle was about 4.8 meters long with a width of 1.75 meters. The drive was provided by a single engine Panhard with a power of 60 HP. The armament consisted of a 37mm SA18 cannon and a single 7.5mm machine gun. The presented vehicle was developed by Citroen in the years 1923-1924 as a kind of development of the car Citroen-Kegresse Models 1923. Interestingly, the French army originally expressed interest in the vehicle, but the Citroen plants were not able to achieve the assumed production levels, which meant that production was finally transferred to the Schneider plants, and its start only in 1928. Problems with starting production, as well as the relatively quickly aging vehicle structure meant that Schneider AMC P16 has never been exported. On the other hand, the produced cars of this type took part in the French army, among others in the 1940 campaign, as well as during the fighting in North Africa in 1942-1943. It should be remembered that at the beginning of World War II, vehicles of this type were evidently obsolete in the French army.
