The Polish Fiat 621 is a truck from the interwar period and from World War II. The first prototypes of the vehicle were created in the early 1930s, and serial production continued in the period 1935-1939, ending with the production of about 13,000 cars of all versions. The Fiat 621 was powered by an engine Fiat 122B with 46 HP. The Polish Fiat 621 was produced under a license agreement concluded between the FIAT concern and Państwowe Zakłady Inżynierii of 1932. Originally, cars were largely assembled from Italian parts, but with time the share of domestic production increased. There were also many changes compared to the version produced in Italy. First of all, the chassis of the car was significantly strengthened, the wheelbase was increased, the engine was made of higher quality materials and a larger fuel tank was used. In the course of serial production, two main versions of the Fiat 621 were created. The first was the basic version, ie the Fiat 621 L, which was a truck with a capacity of 2.5 tons. It was built in several body versions, e.g. as a sanitary truck, fire truck or command vehicle with a radio station. The development of the L version was the Fiat 621 R, which acted as a bus. The braking system and the chassis frame were modernized in this version.
