The T-34/122 (other designations: T-34 / D-30 or T-122) is a Syrian self-propelled gun from the post-war period. The weapon entered the line in the early 1970s. In total, about 30 vehicles of this type were built. The cart was 6.3 meters long and 3 meters wide. The drive was provided by a single, 12-cylinder V-2 engine with 493 hp. It was armed with a 122 mm D-30 howitzer. The crew consisted of 6-7 people. The T-34/122 self-propelled gun was developed as a modernization of the Soviet T-34/85 tank. As a result, the turret with the 85 mm caliber cannon was dismantled and the D-30 howitzer was installed in its place on an open combat position. At the front of the hull, a metal frame was added to facilitate the operation of the gun, which was lowered while driving. During the march, the howitzer was the barrel pointing to the rear of the vehicle, which improved the necessary stability of the vehicle. The T-34/122 self-propelled guns were used in combat during the Yom-Kippur War in 1973.
