The Manta is a German WWII miniature submarine design project. The length of the ship was to be 15 meters and 6 meters wide. The maximum underwater speed probably oscillated around 20-25 knots, although some assume it would have been as high as 30 knots. The first designs of a vehicle called the Manta were created in 1945 and never went beyond the drawing board phase. They assumed the creation of a hybrid vehicle capable of both underwater navigation and independent navigation on land. It was assumed that the Manta would move on four wheels on land, and through propellers in water. It was planned to use a diesel-electric drive with a capacity of 1,200 HP. As armament, the Manta was to have four torpedoes (probably 533 mm caliber) and 8 to 12 sea mines. It is assumed that not a single prototype of this unusual ship has been created.
